To produce information about Puglia,in English,via the internet and in the form of printed material.

To develop services here which make life easier for the English speaking visitor,anything from organising excursions and activities year round (see p34) to providing an English language helpline or an interpreting service if needed.

To offer impartial advice,free of charge,to those wanting to come to Puglia,suggesting accomodation and activities based on their interests and to offer ’agency’ type services such as organising and handling tailor made packages,for a reasonable fee.

To reward good service towards foreign visitors on the part of hotels,villa owners,restaurants or shops,by promoting their business and to deter those who want to exploit foreign visitors by not doing so or,if necessary,actively discouraging visitors from using these services.

To lobby for the improvement of services to visitors outside the Italian holiday season. For example the cleaning of beaches,improvement in public transport,or the organising of privately run transport to areas of interest.To help those wanting to work with foreign visitors understand the needs of the market and to make it easier for them to do so,for example,by arranging courses in spoken English for employees,or offering translation services.

The association will be funded by members,by advertising in publications,and,in some case,charging for our services.However membership is by invitation only,and every single person,or business in this book was vetted before inclusion.Our terms are that should we receive negative feedback from visitors membership will be terminated and publicity withdrawn.
